Playing audio in a Meet when presenting – Google Classroom

There is a bit of a caveat when trying to play a video with audio while in a meet. If you are playing audio, whether that be music or a video from your computer when presenting the whole screen or windowed, it won’t play the audio for the participants. There is a way around this and that’s to use the ‘share tab’ function. You will need to have the audio or video open in a new tab and then select that tab when you click the share tab button. This way audio should play for the participants. Do be aware though that before presenting, mute your microphone first or you and everyone will get lots of feedback.
